The purpose of the Altar Society/PCCW is to care for the immediate needs of the altar, sacristy and sanctuary by providing the altar wine, communion hosts, altar linens, candles, laundry, preparing and serving funeral dinners, hosts wedding receptions, first communion reception, confirmation reception and two fundraisers (Salad Luncheon and Soup Supper). To serve as the agency through which the women of the Parish shall participate in the Diocesan and Deanery activities of the Council of Catholic Women.

All women of the parish 18 years of age or older are considered members. The society is divided into Committees (Funeral Committee, Reception Committee) with a Chairperson, and group Co-chairpersons.  All members are divided into Circles based on where they live within the parish.  The society also has six Commissions led by a Chairperson, those are:  Church Concerns, Community Concerns, Family Concerns, Legislative and International Concerns.
